USAGE TIPS

  1. Before using TerraWash for the first time

TerraWash cleans the machine

Because traditional detergents leave deposits in the machine and these residues are very often the cause of bad laundry odors, we recommend that you pre-wash your machine with TerraWash. Its anti-bacterial action will eliminate a large part of these residues.

If you still see dirt in your machine after a full cycle with TerraWash, fill it with water, pour in a cup of baking soda and let it soak for 1 hour.

  1. Maintaining TerraWash

If you have the impression that TerraWash is no longer working properly even though it weighs more than 80 g, it is possible that the magnesium beads have oxidized a little with humidity.

To regain its power and deoxidize it, soak the sachet for 5 minutes in a bowl containing approximately 20 cl of white vinegar diluted in

enough water so that the bag is completely submerged. Don't worry, the deoxidation reaction will cause bubbles and heat the mixture.

Then rinse the bag to remove vinegar residue and your TerraWash will be ready to be used again.

The 2 photos represent the beads contained in the bag before and after this manipulation. Never open the bag, TerraWash will become unusable.

  1. When should I change my TerraWash?

The original weight of TerraWash is 125 g. As magnesium decomposes slightly on contact with water, its weight gradually decreases wash after wash. TerraWash is considered to have become too light when its weight drops below 80 g. This 40 g reduction corresponds to approximately 360 washes, with a 15-20 minute soak cycle and a maximum load of 7-8 kg. Longer cycles would use up magnesium more quickly.

Although TerraWash will continue to operate on less than 80g, its cleaning effectiveness will be reduced. It must then be renewed or completed with a new one.

  1. What to do with the old TerraWash?

You can use both the new and old set to amplify the cleaning power.

You can also plant the magnesium granules contained in the sachet directly in plant pots or in the garden to enrich the soil. Plants love magnesium which is necessary for their metabolism.

  1. Use the wash water to water the garden.

TerraWash use for crops

By using TerraWash instead of a traditional detergent, you can reuse the water discharged by the machine to water your plants and crops, saving huge amounts of water. Magnesium will enrich the soil and be absorbed by plants.

It is a direct constituent of chlorophyll, and mainly has a metabolic role in the plant, that is to say it will accelerate a certain number of biochemical reactions in addition to an enzyme. A lack of magnesium thus limits the plant's resistance to high temperatures or wind.
